The dream begins with
a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau,
sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called 'truth'."
-Dan Rather
When we fall, more
often than not, it is a teacher who picks us up, dusts us off and gets us back
on our feet. When sorrow comes our way, and all who surround us can offer no
solace, it is not uncommon for a teacher to lend us a shoulder to cry on.
My teachers have been more than just individuals who
have taught me various subjects. They are mentors who have changed my life and inspired me to work hard and overcome my shortcomings. They have encouraged me not only in academics but also to take part in various co-curricular activities like the Prize Day, Sports Day, Helpers' Day. This not only provided a platform to showcase our talents but also taught us "event management". We all looked forward to putting our best foot forward for Teachers' Day every year and doing something special to value what they do for all their students all year round.
In order to appreciate and honour
the guiding forces in my life, my teachers, I am writing the next
blog series for those who have done so much for me.
Here are a few lines for all of
them:
You have always been there when I needed you most. You have never
failed me in any way. Your encouragement has always brought out the best in me. You have
always forgiven me for the times I have wronged.
You have been a friend, a counselor, a mentor, a guide, an
educator. You have shown me by example the way to lead my life as I continue to
tread the roads of my life. You have given me all your love, and I could not
ask for anything more.

sharan , lovely words from the bottom of your heart ...
